Prospect House is just half a mile (800 metres) from Whitby Railway Station and the shops, cafes and restaurants of the town centre. There is a bus stop within easy walking distance. Small and friendly, the bed and breakfast offers a comfortable, clean, homely environment and a warm, friendly welcome. All of the rooms are tastefully decorated and serviced daily. Fresh towels and complimentary toiletries are provided and all rooms have a TV, a DVD player, a hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Ironing facilities are available on request. A good Yorkshire breakfast is available each morning to set you up for the day. Vegetarian options are available by prior request. There is storage for bikes and walking equipment and washing and drying facilities are available at a small additional cost.

The North York Moors steam train runs from Whitby to Pickering.
